Al Gore wanted young folks to get arrested to stop coal. COME ON AL, IT'S YOUR TURN.
Thanks to these activists working to save Appalachia and the world.
Did any of you idiots consider that Duke operates FOUR 1940s-era coal-fired reactors on the Cliffside site already? Did any of you idiots know they plan to dismantle these old, inefficient and polutting reactors in favor of the cleaner ones? Duke is spending $1.8B to make the power generated from that site CLEANER.
Get some information before you commit to doing stupid things. Please....
Even if the power plant is replacing older plants, it still is still "new coal."
Duke's $1.8 billion would be better spent elsewhere.
People like Meg and Nina are heroic, the world needs more concerned citizens rather than people such as those at Duke energy who just try to find an inexpensive way to try to shift the blame for the problems of future generations away from themselves.
